When I got married almost eight years ago, I did a name change. Not only did I change my last name to my husband’s last name, but I also changed my middle name to my maiden name. I like this because I did not completely lose the name I carried for over 20 years. I took his name without completely giving mine up. I would have been okay with not doing it if I did not have the option, but since the option was there I took it. I am glad I did because now my kids hear my maiden a good bit.
