When autocad first came out, it wasn’t greeted with too much positive feedback. Mostly it was due to the fact it just didn’t get enough publicity. Nowadays informations travels at the speed of light, but word of mouth was more important back then. I happened to have the right friends, fortunately, and have been using autocad for the bigger part of my professional career in the military. It’s use varies from a simple design of a new buncer to the most advanced battlefield strategy variation planning. Our (military) version has a few tricks up it’s sleeve, but basically I know I’m right when I suggest it to users from all walks of life.
